Christmas is one week away and I know there are some of you that have yet to shop for your loved ones. . . like me. My dad is literally going to shop on Christmas eve & I inherited too many of his ways so I am all too familiar with this “crunch time” shopping. Let me help you out by giving you some good “last minute” gift ideas. But first, you know I have to say something deep & from the heart because that’s just me.
It seems like every single person I have talked to in the last couple of weeks has been so stressed out about Christmas. One person literally told me, “this is thee absolute most stressful time of year…” Pause.
This should literally be thee most WONDERFUL time of the year for so many reasons. My family & I celebrate Christmas as the coming of our beloved Jesus. The days leading up to Christmas should e symbolic of grace, hope, redemption, & true love. Even those who do not believe rejoice at this season. This entire season is known as the most giving time of the year. People are generous & more kind than usual. People feel the need to love & have the desire to be loved. All around the world people are donating, giving, singing, loving, rejoicing. That is Jesus. That is Christmas.
So as you finish the Christmas shopping & planning my true hope is that you will slow down, breathe, & take a moment to remember this is the greatest time of the year. This is a time to remember that because He came, there is hope for all. . . Happy shopping!
For the lady in your life
Grab some makeup that you know she will love. I personally love Lipsense
Every girl loves something that helps make her skin glow. Find some good skin care products to help her feel pampered at home.
Find a local store that sells great jewelry. I especially love local, handmade, or a company that gives back.
If she’s not a reader, she should be! Get her a great book, pair it with a nice mug filled with her favorite tea/coffee, and maybe even a journal for her to write her thought out.
For the fella in your life
My guy loves to look nice so a hat & a watch are never a bad idea. I think most guys would agree.
Who doesn’t like to smell amazing? Find some great cologne, even if its a splurge like my husband’s favorite was.
Again, a good book. Something about a book makes you just wanna set some quiet time alone & pour into yourself. That is always a good idea.
