Hola! You know that grandma that carries pictures of her grand babies everywhere & forced people to look at them even if they truly could not care less? That is me you guys. I show everyone my family because I am obsessed with them & think they are jaw dropping gorgeous. So you can imagine how excited I get when we take new family photos. My sweet friend Courtney is our photographer & her being so close with is really helps make the pictures so much better because we all feel so comfortable with her. So I want to show you all some of my favorites & also tell you more about my sweet familia so you can get to know what goes on on the other side of this screen. Hope you enjoy.
Nathaniel & I
I met Nathaniel right after I turned 14 years old. He was my brothers friend & when I went to high school my brother was obligated to be my friend. I also had Spanish class with a girl that I became close with & later found out she was Nathaniel’s older sister. We ended up all walking home together every day. When my little brother in junior high across the street came to walk home with us we realized his best friend was Nathaniel’s little brother. A family meant to be joined together I’d say! We did not like each other like “that” in high school… like at all. When someone would say we did, we’d be like “what the f, we are like brother & sister!”… & we were. We told each other everything. If he liked a girl I would know all the details, & vise versa. After Nathaniel & my brother (Boo) graduated high school he decided to join the air force. I was still in high school but he spent a lot of time over before leaving to Texas. We both had given our lives to Jesus & began to just be different people. I developed a little crush on him but only told my cousin Jasmine because she was trustworthy & my best friend. When he moved away we grew closer & boom, Jesus open our eyes to each others glory. I was like “dang this brotha is fine, got a job, & he loves Jeus… YAS!” Then he was like, “dang homegirl is cuuuute, spicy attitude, driven, & Jesus is her main. I’ll take that!” haha well something like that. Two years after we got together we were married at the ripe old age of 20 & 21. We been doing big thangs & chain big dreams ever since. He is my boo, my boy, my love, my better half. He literally is everything I’m not & I stay crushing on him. Here we are close to 12 years into friendship, & almost 6 years into marriage, things only get better when you marry a king…
The Richardson Brothers
I DID NOT want kids you guys… like ever. I entertained the idea when we were engaged because Nathaniel has always wanted to be a father. One day, when we were engaged, I prayed hard for God to give me a desire for kids. It was an ongoing prayer of mine but this particular day I was desperate. My reasons for not wanting kids had everything to do with fear, selfishness, & not having my own mom my whole life. God very clearly put it on my heart that He would give us sons & in my journal I wrote, “God will bring Nathaniel & I together to raise a generation of men who serve The Lord. Just like Noah in the bible, our children will pioneer a new beginning changing the standard set by the men who came before them.” Deep I know, but it was a God thing & He tends to be all deep & poetic. A month after our 1 year anniversary we VERY surprised to find out we were pregnant with Noah. He came in our lives & made us better. His name came from an obvious place but you guys his character has followed.
Each of our boys are different & our prayers for them are unique to who they are. One thing they have in common is they are so fun. Nathaniel & I are both goofy & love to have a good time. The boys are so full of life, jokes, & they love all things rough just like their parents. We gave them their names as sort of a banner over them. Our prayers for them have a lot to do with their names & we are so so blessed to be their parents.
Noah (rest, comfort) Matthew (gift of YAHWEH)-he loves building, creating, & he is a protector. He can be super bossy as most firstborns are, but always looking out for his boys (as he calls them). Noah is a people person & knows no stranger. I adore that about him.
Uriah (God is my light, light of the Lord) James (Supplanter, to overthrow)- Uriah is my cuddly loving child. He will let you cuddle & kiss him all day but he needs to also fight you in a light saber battle like 3x a day. He is so sensitive to everyone around him & their needs always making sure to ask people if they are ok. He is slow to warm to strangers but when you’re in, you are his best friend.
Ezrah (help, helper) Nathaniel (God has given)- me sweet baby boy. Ok actually he is really rough & feisty. He can handle his own with his brothers & is not shy about punching them in the face. He laughs at everything & has the raspiest loud voice that I am obsessed with. It’s so fun watching him develop his little personality & follow his bothers everywhere all day.
This is us… I love us, so very much. Thanks for letting me share our lives with you all.
